The hill areas of the village (Monte Felice, Le
Cese and Zingarelli) present land terraces bounded by well-made
dry-stone walls (the famous macère). Olive groves, ilexes
and oak-trees are common here. The hills of Le Cese overlook all the
central Liri valley.
A large part of the territory is covered with
wood. The typical vegetation of the area is made up of oaks-trees
and coppices. The woodland, a real oasis of happiness, offers
the opportunity to plunge into nature, and not only in autumn, when
people go out in search of the edible mushrooms (porcini)
that have made the woodland of Coldragone well-known and well-beaten.
It is possible to walk in the woodland, to enjoy
the freshness of the place, to have a picnic under the trees and let
children play in the open air, or simply to find the sensations of
the old days.
